Hello and WELCOME to MY blog!
I am A Stay at Home Mom, I have a 2 year old Son already.
He was A Miracle Baby.
Here is What Happened During my 1st Pregnancy......
I have always Had issues with My cycle and Back In June of 2006 I turned 21.
For My Birthday I figured I would celebrate Like Most 21 year olds Do and I went out and Had a few Drinks. Well after a week OF being Of age to drink I started Feeling Ill.
I was having SEVERE cramping Pains on My right side while i was at work.
This Pain Caused ME to Bend Over It hurt so Bad.
Well I Had Not Missed My Period Yet, But I went to The ER cause the Pain got so bad.
Well, They did A Urine test and It was Negative, Then They Did an exam and The Dr Requested a Blood Test. He came back In the room after I had been In there (All alone Mind you, DH was In the waiting room) for about 30-45 Mins.
He said Well Congratulations Your PREGNANT!
I was Just in SHOCK! When I walked Into The waiting room And My husband Walked with me to the car I told Him, Well I'm pregnant, HE was SO excited.
The next day i had an Appointment At the OBGYN at the same Hospital.
They Did an Ultrasound But Did NOT see a Baby Or A Sack!
They told Me it may be too early, Considering My LMP.
And They took Blood. They discovered My Progesterone was Quite LOW so I was Given Oral Progesterone to Take for a few Weeks.
So i was to Come back in 2 Weeks, That was The Most Terrifying 2 weeks Of My LIFE!
So when I went Back In I took DH with Me, In case There was Bad News.
They did the ultrasound and There It was.... A Little Bean :)
I was So happy, We even Got to Hear the Heartbeat!!
Turns Out I was ONLY 6 weeks and 2 Days along!
(** Let me say this, I Had some HPTS at home and I figured i would take them and See What they did, WELL they were NEG until I was 3 Months Pregnant, so I really DON'T trust HPTS!)
Over the Next few Weeks I LOST 20lbs!! (i Didn't have Morning Sickness BUT i was never Hungry)
Fast Forward to 20 Weeks.....
ITS A BOY!!!!
We Shall Call Him ALEX
So Far So Good, He was Growing Right On Target!
No problems YET.......
Around 30-32 Weeks Problems Begin to Arise,
I begin Getting Very dizzy and Seeing Spots.
Well Tested My Blood pressure at a Grocery store One evening and It was VERY high.
Called the DR and Had to Go in asap.
By the time we drove the 30 MINS it was back Down, But they Decided I was to Be On Light Bed Rest, and IF i had to Go somewhere i was Required to Take a Wheel Chair!
So I had already Quit My job as a Cake Decorator and Was Preparing to stay Home For a good while.
We Moved A Twin size Bed into Our Living room as a 2ND Couch so I could BE comfy (this bed was Stiffer than Our Bed) and Cool with the AC (DH hated the Hot flashes I would get LOL)
So around 38 Weeks I had gained Back ALL the weight Plus 5 More Pounds.
Well The Due date CAME and Went..... FINALLY 5 Days After My due date we went In for a Size Check on the baby and to see How much Longer i may have.
The Nurse Neglected to Tell US how Big the baby was.
Well It was a Friday and They said I should come back In Monday for a Check Up.
On that Monday They Asked How Big was he measuring, and When I didn't Know The nurse called and Decided from that I Was to Be Induced The Following Morning and To be at the Hospital at 6 AM!
She said HE is Measuring 9Lbs or So......IF they Only Knew.......
So I didn't Sleep AT ALL the Night Before, And We packed up the car and Left Out at 5am.
In the waiting room DH and I waited for them to Get an open Room.
HE passed Out in a Chair as I just Relaxed thinking about what he would look like.
My family arrived and Sat with us at 7am.
So They Had ALOT of Births that day and FINALLY had ME a room ready at 8AM
They Induced ME Right away, I just Relaxed, Didn't Feel Much pain or anything really.
The Hours Passed and No progress.
I was 3 CM dilated at around 4-5PM and I was starting to Feel Some pain, So they went ahead and Did the Epidural. Then They Burst the bag of water. Nurse Was Concerned Due to there being meconium In the Fluid. (means the baby had a Bowel Movement In utero)
By 11PM they came in to tell me because i haven't progressed any that they should do an Emergency C section. I asked to Think about it and They gave me a few Mins.
We decided to Go for it. They made me Drink some Stuff and It Made Me PUKE Everything i had Taken In in the Last 24 Hours! (wasn't much cause they Told me not to eat after 12 the night before)
So i go In and I couldn't Feel My Legs So when They Lifted me onto the Table I could Feel My Leg Trying to Slide Off the side of it, I had to yell at someone to Put It back cause i probably would have rolled Off the Table (LOL)
So They prep Me and DH comes In.
I LOVE THE ANESTHESIOLOGIST!!!!!!
I felt Nothing but did feel some pressure and Pulling.
Well The Nurse told Them to HURRY cause she had already filled out all the Paperwork and It was almost Midnight, She didn't want to have to change his Birthday :)
So At 11:59 05
March 6th
Our Son was Born!
They Rushed him over and with 4 Pediatricians Made sure he didn't Swallow any meconium.
They were ALL in AWE of This Boys SIZE!
He was a 10lb 8.25oz 22 Inch Long WHOPPER of A Boy, Almost the size of a Toddler LOL.
He couldn't wear Newborn Clothes, we had to Send the family out to buy some 3M Outfits to Go home in!
Needless To say He was a Happy and Healthy Boy.
I did NOT Breast Feed Because the lactation consultant Told me i was doing it wrong and I was still hormonal so I just gave Up. :(
I plan on Breast feeding No matter what when We have a 2ND baby.
So that was what I went through with ALEX.
He is Now 2 Years old and he is 39lbs and 38 Inches tall! He is In a 4T now.
